About 300 Public Service Alliance of Canada members marched to protest the federal government’s use of the Phoenix payroll system on June 24, 2017 in Saint John. Photo from PSAC Atlantic.

Public Service Alliance Canada (PSAC) members from across all the Atlantic provinces were in Saint John, New Brunswick over this past weekend (June 23 to June 25). Union members gathered for the 7th Triennial Regional Convention. Together nearly 300 members marched to protest the federal government’s continued misguided use of the Phoenix payroll system on Saturday morning. Stories about the abuse PSAC members are experiencing were shared by the victims of this broken system that is costing Canadian taxpayers millions of dollars. Marchers were demanding what the victims of Phoenix are owed by their employer.
